MICHIGAN, Berrien CD — Jared Harmon, an invasive species outreach educator with the Berrien Conservation District, noted: “Invasive aquatic species … cost us $5.7 billion in economic damage in the Great Lakes. It’s very expensive.” He was leading almost 20 people Friday on an Invasive Species Identification Tour along the John and Dede Howard Family Recreation Trail in St. Joseph. The tour was sponsored by the Below-the-Bluff Neighborhood Association.
