Diamond Creek Watershed offering landowner assistance

KANSAS, Morris County CD and Chase County CD — The Diamond Creek Watershed Joint District No. 61 is now taking applications to construct new ponds, pond restoration to replace pipelines and develop springs.

This was approved at their Aug. 9 meeting to amend their General Plan. Amendment 5, dated Aug. 29, has been reviewed and approved by the Kansas Department of Ag’s Division of Water Resources on Oct. 3. The Diamond Creek Watershed will partner with the Kansas Department of Agriculture’s Division of Conservation, Morris County Conservation District, Chase County Conservation District and the Natural Resources Conservation Service to implement these practices.
