Teton CD partners to map county's sewage system

December 19, 2018by ncdea

WYOMING, Teton CD — What becomes of Jackson Hole’s sewage is complicated, but how that human waste is enters the environment just became easier to follow.

A GIS map, and the underlying data that feeds it, takes into account detailed information like the diameter of sewer lines underfoot or the year a raised septic system was permitted. The final product, which is available at JHCleanWater.org, was a collaboration between the conservation district, Teton County, Friends of Fish Creek, Nelson Engineering and Alder Environmental.
