Festival of Spring and River-Clean-Up draws visitors, volunteers outdoors to Rock Springs

GEORGIA, Macon County CD – The 38th annual Festival of Spring and River Clean-Up hosted by the Macon County Conservation District drew those who wanted spruce up the river and also enjoy a day dedicated to being outside with nature at Rock Springs Conservation Area.

Marge Evans of Mount Zion said the difference in the water quality of the river since the event began involving the clean-ups has dramatically improved. She has volunteered with the festival since its start in 1981.
