Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District celebrates 75 years

OHIO, Geauga SWCD – The Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District, which formed as the state’s 29th SWCD on June 24, 1944, celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. “Throughout the years, the district has spearheaded many new programs, received numerous awards of recognition and worked diligently to become a leading conservation district in the state,” Carmella Shale, PE, director/engineer for Geauga SWCD said in a news release.
