July 16, 2019by ncdea

WASHINGTON, Cascadia CD – The Cascadia Conservation District received a $4,200 grant to help with their “Kids in the Creek and Forest” program. The money is part of the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office “No Child Left Inside” program to get kids outdoors. The CCD says “Kids in the Creek and Forest” provides students an opportunity to connect with nature and professionals in the resource management field through field trips in Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan Counties. They host about 300 10th graders each year and 1,500 5th through 8th graders.
