Hello, I am Jeff Parker.
I am Regional Director for the NCDEA. I’m the District Manager at the Steuben County Soil Conservation District in Bath, NY. I’ve been with the district for thirty-two years starting as District Technician before transiting into my current position. My background is agronomy and conservation & management of urban recreational lands. I am a Certified Professional in Sediment & Erosion Control through the national recognized organization Envirocert.
Prior to my career with the District, I held several different jobs that involve conservation from dairy herdsman, orchard manager and operating a local vegetable & greenhouse. My position at the District allows me to collaborate with private landowners, governmental entities and NGO’s on improving and protecting our natural resource. I’m to work with our constituents far and wide with information/education on the importance of promoting conservation and agricultural.
Being involved with NCDEA allows me to network with other Conservation Districts on conservation and agricultural priorities nationally. It provides a platform to collaborate on programs, policies & funding mechanism for Conservation Districts in assisting our constituents in a manner that is cost effective at the same time protecting our conservation and agricultural.
