The National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) is the nonprofit organization that represents America’s 3,000 conservation districts and the 17,000 men and women who serve on their governing boards.
The National Association of Resource Conservation & Development Councils (NARCDC) coordinates the efforts of member RC&D Councils at the national level.
The National Association of State Conservation Agencies (NASCA) strengthens members’ capacity and influence national programs and policies by providing leadership, focus, and direction.
The Natural Resources Conservation Service’s (NRCS) mission is to improve, protect, and conserve natural resources on private lands through a cooperative partnership with state and local agencies.

The purpose of this MOA is to encourage strong national, Tribal, regional, State, and local level partnerships, as well as to strengthen cooperation among the Parties which results in coordinated interagency delivery of conservation assistance to private landowners, communities, and others to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of the Nation’s natural resources.

The National Conservation Planning Partnership (NCPP) represents the efforts of five key national conservation partners to reinvigorate conservation planning by enhancing and strengthening the effectiveness of planning and our partnership workforce.

NACD describes the NRCS Conservation Planning Boot Camp as a three-week, intensive training course for technical employees that covers current conservation planning policy, procedures and guidelines as outlined in the National Planning Procedures Handbook. Conservation district participants are trained in and out of the classroom – right alongside NRCS field staff – in the skills necessary for developing and implementing comprehensive conservation plans.
